APFC CLIENT RETENTION SOFTWARE
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ON A NETWORK
Attention Netware Users
If you have a NETWARE Installation, the Netware installation must
support long filenames. Additionally, you must change the
install Directory Name by removing any spaces in the name. |
The setup program will need to be run from each
workstation that will need access to the program.
For this reason, it would be easier if the setup program is downloaded/saved to
the server in a directory accessible from each workstation for running the
setup. The program does not need to be INSTALLED on the server unless you wish
to actually run the program on the server desktop.
Change the Path to point to the Server Drive & Program Path.
During the installation of the program, change the path to point to the
server drive & program path (The default path is C:\Program Files\APFC
Client Retention). If this a new installation, run the setup from each
workstation BEFORE calling APFC for the User Name & Password.
If you are adding an Additional Workstation to an existing installation,
simply run the setup program on the workstation, pointing to the server drive &
program path. The data files will not be overwritten.
After installation on all the
machines you desire,
call APFC at 800-873-2732 x 115 and ask
for your Client Retention User Name and Password.
